A group of 12 members went to Kodaikanal trek (will be updated) but the lake was unplanned. In the image gallery (Top View), you can see we have point A (is also a cycle stand and we were watching lake) and B (our TT was parked). Our teammate “Robo ‘Robert’ Reloaded”, who knows where the TT was parked and he guided us to reach the TT finally. Because of him we could able to explore this lake view fully 360° approximately in 2 hours.
Under his guidance, we all started walking in opposite direction and gradually after few min we were sure that we were in a wrong route. Also we were not interested to go back (as we were tried of 2 days trekking), we moved forward assuming that after 300Mts we are going to the other side of the lake, as we can view the end of lake path was nearly close to the other side of the lake. Once we reach the end of the lake path, here we experienced the twist, we saw a bend of lake extension to the opposite direction. By this time the group we splitted into 2-3 groups. Without any options we just moved on with a front view visuals of the nature.
Once we reach another end of lake path, again we saw the bend as same as the first one which is opposite to the other side of the lake. Sometimes small bends and sometimes big ones. By this time we were aware, why there was a cycle rental available at Point A. After 5-10 such bends, I finally renamed this lake to Octopus Lake. Simply felt like we are taking a round of octopus by touching its body. But the good thing is we reached the lake in the evening and can able to enjoy the nature in a cool weather. There are 10-15 bends to the lake and at the end, the most awaited from last 2 days, RAIN came for 15 min and few drenched as like nothing happening and others were running for shelter. Finally rain stopped as well we reached our TT.
Wow beautiful
Though the way was unknown but One of the most memorable & must visit place #nostalgic
